Our story
Made in Nairobi, worn everywhere
Kitenge & Co. began on a single sewing machine in Kilimani, with a roll of Ankara bought at Gikomba market and a simple idea: African prints should be cut for modern lives, not kept for special occasions.
Today a small team of tailors, pattern cutters and finishers makes every piece in short runs. We work with Kenyan weavers, batik dyers and leather workers, and we pay them properly.
We photograph our clothes on real people around the city, we answer every WhatsApp message ourselves, and we would rather you love one dress for ten years than buy ten for one season.
Cloth carries memory. We just cut it to fit your day.
